Dru Cutler chose Noho Sound to host his Vinyl listening party back in April and OF COURSE we said yes. It was an honor to host Dru as he’s a local New York artist who also founded UnitJ, an event warehouse-space keeping New York Rock alive.
The past few months have been quite eventful for Cutler. He headlined the Brooklyn Museum for his Night of 1,000 Bowies performance, landed himself his own feature in Vanity Fair, and managed to put together the largest Radiohead tribute show Brooklyn has seen. If that isn’t enough, he officially released his record, Being Closer the Distance (available on all streaming services) which features the same production-team whose discography includes Bob Dylan & David Bowie – That wasn’t a typo. Listen to his album here.
Dru is continuing to push the boundaries with his work as he’s working on a music video for his track Brain Place which takes place in a dystopian world where humans are physically attached to technology. The video is set to release in September, find out more details here.
