Featured by The Ology, New York’s premiere Christian-Arts Showcase, Kadida’s Noho Sound spring debut was one we can’t seem to get over. Her diverse range as a vocalist reminded us of why we started hosting live performances in the first place.

Since her Noho Sound concert, Kadidia has gone on to open for some of the biggest gospel artists in the industry, including familiar names like Naomi Raine, Casey J, & Dante Bowe. In addition to opening for gospel’s best, Kadidia headlined some of New York’s most premiere gospel houses. Her growth as an artist doesn’t seem end there, Kadidia was showcased on Naomi Raine’s live album taping of Back to Eden feature artist as a feature artist on the album.

As if summer 2018 wasn’t eventful enough for emerging gospel power artist, we’re proud to announce that Kadidia has released an album of her own, Epiphany: My Purpose, His Will (available on all streaming services).

Where Are They Now? - Dru Cutler

Dru Cutler chose Noho Sound to host his Vinyl listening party back in April and OF COURSE we said yes. It was an honor to host Dru as he’s a local New York artist who also founded UnitJ, an event warehouse-space keeping New York Rock alive.

The past few months have been quite eventful for Cutler. He headlined the Brooklyn Museum for his Night of 1,000 Bowies performance, landed himself his own feature in Vanity Fair, and managed to put together the largest Radiohead tribute show Brooklyn has seen. If that isn’t enough, he officially released his record, Being Closer the Distance (available on all streaming services) which features the same production-team whose discography includes Bob Dylan & David Bowie – That wasn’t a typo. Listen to his album here.

Dru is continuing to push the boundaries with his work as he’s working on a music video for his track Brain Place which takes place in a dystopian world where humans are physically attached to technology. The video is set to release in September, find out more details here.

Where Are They Now? - Fousheé

Fousheé is a special artist here at Noho Sound, why? She was one of the first artists who performed under our roof. As soon as she walked in we knew she was the one. She had the attitude, she had the soul, and she had a vision. “How has she not blown up?” Noho Sound president, Ron Kain asked.

When catching up with Fousheé nearly one year later, it’s safe to say that she is indeed, “blowing up”. She’s on her way to “take the music industry by storm” (ESSENCE). After her Noho Sound spotlight, Fousheé has gone on to perform at venues all around New York, building a snowball effect of fans everywhere she goes.

Her latest project is a genre bending album known as, Speak Up (available on all streaming services) in which she implements her influences from Chaka Khan to Frank Ocean. “Speak Up represents a milestone in my life of coming into my own and finding my voice. I was always told to “Speak Up” growing up because I was such a shy, soft-spoken girl but now I’m taking that power back and I have a lot to say. I touched on subjects from fake friends to rejection and of course love! My goal was to put a new twist on classic topics” she tells ESSENCE.

In addition to her album, Fousheé released a music video to her single, By One directed by MTV featured duo, Chalalai Fischbach & Jett Cain. Fousheé is currently working on more collaborative music and visual projects she hopes to release in the near future with some surprise artists rolled up her sleeve. We truly can’t wait.
